Wayne Kendall Wayne Kendall has 44 years of progressive experience in the security, Intelligence and Police fields. His duties have included nuclear security, undercover police officer, investigator and supervisor for criminal and personnel security investigations, Intelligence Officer, Operations Officer for a multi-national Police and Security Force, Security Officer for NATO Airborne Early Warning Program, Personnel Officer and Commanding Officer of the Military Security Guard Unit, seconded to Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (FAITC).

He spent two years as sub-section head at National Defence Headquarters responsible for the Department's security programs. For four years, he was the Company Security Officer for Computing Devices Canada Ltd. For the last five years, he has been working as a Security Consultant for Computing Devices Canada Ltd. (now General Dynamics Canada) Health Canada, Communications Research Centre, Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Public Works and Government Services Canada in the Industrial Security Directorate.

Kendall has extensive leadership and administrative skills. He has managed and supervised both national and international military and civilian personnel and has supervised and conducted personnel security and criminal investigations. He has organized national and international security conferences and worked with national and foreign agencies on issues of national security. Kendall has worked in both NATO and UN environments. He has established a military unit seconded to Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada.

He has developed comprehensive business plans and established and maintained corporate-wide procedures for the protection of assets, safety of employees, executive protection, information security, resources and facilities. Through his work, he has increased the effectiveness and awareness of staff in organizations by developing a number of policy and procedural manuals including security, fire safety, disaster planning and training.

Kendall's research and analysis skills include conducting threat risk assessments and security audits, including international audits. He has analyzed trends and developments in security, researched, analyzed and interpreted provincial, federal and international regulations, and policy to ensure departmental/corporate compliance. He has also drafted and edited assessments, briefings and presentations up to the ministerial level.

Kendall has managed various projects. He has researched, designed and implemented a physical security system, which included CCTV and card access. He developed and implemented a Counter-Terrorism plan and a security guard training program. He acted as a team leader and participant in the reengineering of the security processes pertaining to the Industrial Security Program and has been involved in numerous projects while employed with the Department of National Defence.
